Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at the Heart and Crown in Ottawa

St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and now that COVID-19 restrictions have eased, it’s time to celebrate! 

There is one pub in Ottawa that’s going all out for St. Paddy’s this year, and it’s none other than Heart & Crown.

Free of a curfew, capacity limits, or dancing restrictions, the Heart & Crown is excited to host their annual St. Patrick’s Day event once again.

This local chain of Irish pubs is known for their legendary St. Patrick’s Day parties and this year’s promises to be no different. 

Featuring live music all day long and traditional Irish dancers from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm, you'll feel like you’ve been transported to Dublin. 

The festivities are scheduled to kick off at 10:00 am on March 17th, with the music starting as soon as the doors open. There will be Irish bands and fiddlers on-site. Plus, the Guinness will be flowing and they will be serving all kinds of traditional pub food, including Guinness beef stew, Irish meatballs, the Jameson Burger (featuring Jameson-infused barbecue sauce), and Shepherd’s Pie.

Heart & Crown locations will be open until 2:00 am on the 17th, so prepare to party all day and night long! And of course, it wouldn’t be St. Patrick’s Day without green attire. The pub encourages guests to come decked out in their most festive outfits. 

Please note that Heart & Crown has four locations throughout Ottawa, including one on Preston Street and one in Barrhaven, as well as The Aulde Dubliner and Pour House. Each is planning on celebrating St. Paddy’s, however, it’s the Byward Market location that will be at the centre of Ottawa’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
