Just across the river from Ottawa is where the Gatineau Beer Fest will take up residence this August.

Between August 4th and 7th and the 11th and 14th, the 10th annual Gatineau Beer Fest will take over Place des Festivals Zibi.

On a giant patio in the heart of Old Hull is where you will find numerous local brewers and distillers offering a wide range of thirst-quenching beverages.

The entirety of the 2021 festival will take place outdoors, rain or shine.

This year’s event will feature over 80 different varieties of beer from 30 breweries in the region. Whether you’re into craft beer, homegrown cider, hard liquor, or something else entirely, we bet you’ll be able to find it at Gatineau Beer Fest.

The festival will also see over a dozen food trucks and other vendors serving up local products and flavours from Quebec and Ontario.

Beyond tasty beer, the Gatineau Beer Fest will also feature two live concerts. The first band to perform is Qualité Motel, playing on August 7th at 4:00 pm and again at 8:00 pm. The second band is Foreign Diplomats, who will be taking the stage on August 13th, also at 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

Tickets start at $19.50 for a three-hour session and must be purchased in advance via the official Gatineau Beer Fest website (there will be no tickets available at the door).

The minimum age to enter is 14, however, the minimum drinking age of 18 will be strictly enforced. Please note that, unlike previous years, there will be no kid’s zone in 2021.

Further, COVID-19 protocols must be followed, which includes mandatory mask-wearing when not seated at your table and physical distancing.

Gatineau Beer Fest is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from noon to 3:00 pm, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

If you’re heading to Ottawa this August, then be sure to check out the Gatineau Beer Fest. And if you need a place to stay while in town, we’d love to have you at the Best Western Plus Ottawa City Centre.
