The holidays are upon us and that means it’s time to start shopping. Luckily, there are plenty of opportunities to do so here in Ottawa owing to the many holiday markets popping up around the city. From the beloved Ottawa Christmas Market in Casino Lac Leamy Plaza to a German-inspired market in Kemptville, check out the top 3 Christmas markets in Ottawa this year.

Ottawa Christmas Market 2021

The Ottawa Christmas Market returns for four weekends in 2021. Kicking off November 26th and lasting until December 22nd, this festive holiday market will be open Friday to Sunday each week. As with previous years, the 2021 event will take up residence in the Casino Lac Leamy Plaza. There will be thousands of Christmas lights, decorations, and holiday entertainment, creating a true winter wonderland. The 2021 Ottawa Christmas Market promises to feature more vendors than ever before, along with live music, Christmas-themed gift items, and traditional food and beverages.

Signatures Originals Christmas Craft Sale

The Signatures Originals Christmas Craft Sale is back in Ottawa for five whole days, from December 8th until the 12th. Open from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm each day, this craft market will be held at the EY Centre and will feature a wide range of handmade goods, all created by Canadian artists. Visitors can expect to find everything from jewellery and artwork to woodwork and gift items. Makers, artisans, and designers from coast to coast are coming together for this can’t-miss event.

Outdoor Christmas Market - A Christkindlmarkt on Campus

My Local Markets is pleased to be hosting the Outdoor Christmas Market - A Christkindlmarkt on Campus in nearby Kemptville this holiday season. This Bavarian-inspired Christmas market is taking place November 13th and 14th from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm and will offer everything from handmade Christmas ornaments to decorations, gifts, and other treasures. There will also be an appearance from Santa himself, so be sure to bring the kids along to this family-friendly holiday market.

If you’ll be in Ottawa this November or December, then we suggest getting your holiday shopping done early by visiting any of the Christmas markets listed above. And if you need a place to stay during your visit, know that you’re always welcome at the Best Western Plus Ottawa City Centre
